Announcing my new book: Alternatively Bound and Stitched!

alternatively-bound-and-stitched-cover-smWell, I’ve been sitting on this a while. I’ve written and published my second book called Alternatively Bound and Stitched.

This book is not on painting techniques, but about putting a quilt together and taking it through to completion after the top has been made.

In this book, I share many of the techniques and materials I use in my work. Covering the different battings I prefer and why, my fool-proof basting technique, different ways to think about stitching designs and motifs for quilting, and how I mark a top before stitching. I’ve never been a fan of traditional bindings on art quilts and I share three alternative bindings and show you how to gallery wrap a quilt on stretcher bars, all with step by step directions.

Here’s the table of contents:TofC

and a preview of the book

$15 for the 8 1/2 x 11 print version and $12 for the ebook. Buy it now.

I tried to order your new book, but i can’t get the FAM40 discout code to work.

    • I’m so sorry Gail, the publisher sent out an email calling it a friends and family sale

“Finally! A sale you don’t need to keep to yourself. From now until October 18, we want you and your friends and family to save 40% on photo books.”

and I misunderstood the wording to mean it was a promocode to share with friends, not for the author only 🙁

The FAM40 code did not work for me either.

    • I’m so sorry Donna, the publisher sent out a confusingly worded email calling it a friends and family sale

The FAM40 code did not work. I read your answer to the other comments. Is there a 40% off? if so how do we apply it? I guess I’m just a bit confused. Thanks

  4. Hi
I ordered mine and when I sent an email asking why the 40% discount didn’t work the lovely person at Blurb fixed it for me….so if you ask nicely sometimes you can get lucky!!! 🙂
