Knitted Hand Warmers

For when it is not completely freezing outside or when your kind of cold inside.
nina%27s+hand+warmers Knitted Hand WarmersNina always has cold hands inside, especially when she is sitting at the computer too long. I made her these hand warmers out of Knitpicks Shine Worsted. They are soft pima cotton, she always feels itchy with wool, even merino. She also did not want any thumb so it would be more comfortable to hold a pen or pencil when drawing.

my+hand+warmers Knitted Hand WarmersI don’t use a pattern for the hand warmers any more I just figure out my gauge for the yarn and start knitting. This of course leads to lots of trial and error single hand warmers until I get it right, but they knit up fairly quickly so it’s not such a big deal.

  1. oooooh oooooh. I need those b/c I can’t operate the iPhone with gloved fingers. You have two whole days till my birthday, Judy but you’ll have to knit them today and overnight air them since there’s no delivery on Sunday. I like red.

  2. Oh Happy Birthday Darlin! I should have known you were an Aquarian. Almost every Aquarian I have ever known has that ability to walk into a party and be best friends with a room full of people in minutes.

Unfortunately I don’t have any red yarn in the house, or they would have been there! :)

Ooo so nice ! I always wear handwarmers – in the winter at home and at work too. I especially like the ones you made for yourself !
