Painting- done I think

deer21 Painting done I think

I think after eleven hours of painting yesterday it is done. There is always the possibility I will tweak thinks here and there. I had to force myself to stop last night at midnight, I was touching up lights and darks on the leaves on the tree on the right to give them a little more contrast. I probably could have spent another hour touching them up here and there.

Beautiful Judy! The lights and darks have given it so much depth. The stag looks so regal. All of your line detail has given the work a lot of visual interest as well. You work fast!!

It is amazing how that grass just pulls all the ground work together. As for finishing touches, I think it is so easy to ‘dink’ forever…but the stopping line must eventually be drawn!

Oh Wow! The grass! That must have taken forever but so worth it! Can’t wait to see it quilted.

  14. What a treat it has been to watch this come alive!

  16. Your painting is outstanding as always! It’s hard to believe it can get any better, but I know that the quilting will really add another level to it. Should be a winner!

The grass, the hairs on the stag, the flowers, the depth – I could go on, but the point is that this artwork is amazing. Have a fantastic weekend.

  19. This is wonderful! It can be difficult to know when to stop and a tiny bit too much can ruin hours of work. This is perfect :-)

I love getting your feedback
