    I just saw this today at the show. It’s amazing! I wish your names were listed underneath tho’. But as I was looking at it, I thought to myself that I’ve seen this before. LOL Of course because it was on the cover of Quilting Arts magazine. It’s gorgeous in real life!

    Congratulations, Judy!! As always, superb job! Absolutely stunning! I did recognize the sea horse but couldn’t remember where I’d seen it until Tami mentioned it in her comment…lol…of course, Quilting Arts.

  3. Thanks for letting me know! I’d totally forgotten about PIQF being this weekend.
    Congratulations to us all on our first public outing as the Gomez Sisters.

    wonderful news! I saw it in Quilting Arts and was blown away by the beauty. I’d hate to be up against the Gomez Sisters in any contest. You could stare at that piece for days and keep finding beautiful aspects.

    I just went through your blog(posting comments here and there :-)] and found it amazingly interesting and uniquely beautiful.
    Do you mind if I link you up from my blog?
    (PS: I won’t take ‘no’ for an answer.)

    Congratulations to all concerned – if you won second then the one that won first must have been really something!

    I love that seahorse panel in particular – it is one of my favourite covers for Quilting Arts.

    How nice to have such a bunch of creative inventive textile buddies.

    Hi Judy;

    Thank you for stopping by my blog. I’m a great admirer of your work and was delighted to hear from you.

    I was sorry to hear that this piece was bumped from IQF last year. I suppose I understand their concern, but the spines on the cactus really were a non-issue at PIQF. To quote one of my later blog entries, “There weren’t any people trying to impale themselves on the spines, poke their eyes out, or use the spines to spread Hepatitis B. There were, however, a good many people gathered inspecting and enjoying the quilt.”

    Congratulations to you and the rest of the Gomez Sisters!

  11. Deborah says:

  12. Congratulations to you and the other Gomez sisters!
