I speak the language of color » Polychromatic Predilection

2017 40″ x 40″

I like to speak in the language of color, and I have long admired the tremendous strength and resilience of succulents. I’m endlessly fascinated by the multitude of variations in color, shape, size and beauty. This image is painted from referencing a photo I took of one of my succulents, that I altered in an app on my iphone.

Oh my gosh Judy! I love this work of art!! I love the saturated color and shadowing and intensity of everything. The quilting also sets it all off. I can tell you are in a good spot in your life as this shines through your love of quilting and painting:-) This piece feels so so peaceful to me. The other thing it did was inspired me to setup my painting space (we moved recently) and to get going! So thank you:-)

    • Hi Laura,

nice to hear from you and thanks so much. I’m so glad it has motivated you to set up your studio space and get back to creating, I know how moving can suck the life out of that. Keep creating!! 🙂
