I’m catching up from my trip to Ontario to teach at Road to California, and getting used to a brand new computer, so I’m a bit behind on writing a post about my classes.
Last Tuesday, I drove to Los Angeles (389 miles), to stay with my old art school room mate and talented graphic designer Amy McFarland and drop off my dying laptop with a computer tech guy in Santa Monica, who transferred all my files and set up the majority of my software on a brand new souped up MacBookPro laptop, while I was teaching. Woo hoo this baby’s fast!
While in Santa Monica, Amy and I had drinks and dinner at R+D Kitchen, yum! I think the highlight of my night was having a conversation with a very nice looking guy, who turned out to be an actor from Moscow, that thought I was younger than him, he was 36!!! I loved seeing the shock on his face when I told him how old I am, in the land of nip tuck! What a compliment that was, it put me in a fine mood for the rest of the week. 🙂
Before I drove out to Ontario on Wednesday I met up with some architect friends I used to work with for lunch at Fig and Olive in West Hollywood and had a wonderful 3 course lunch, lucky me it was restaurant week!
More to come soon, I’ll post photos from my classes in another day or so, after I’ve had a chance to unpack supplies and catch my breath.
