2005 89” x 62”

While living in Texas fossils fascinated my children, and we spent many happy days in the creek beds of Austin searching for evidence that North America was once under the sea. This quilt is what I like to imagine a Primordial Sea, abundant in jewel toned marine life would look like.

  1. I am a reader of old magazines. In perusing the Fall 2005 issue of Quilting Arts this morning, I came across the article on you that referred to this quilt. Of course I had to go look it up right away. What a miraculous piece—congratulations on the beauty, translucency and detail of this quilt!
