This is the home page from the White House website. Isn’t that a glorious thing? This is a proud day for America. I can only imagine the world is also sharing our happiness with this change of administration, it has been a long eight years.
It was snowing here in Chicago but even that couldn’t dim the joyousness of this occasion, the sun was shining and the snow was glistening, sparkling crystals falling from the sky.
We have begun a new day. Peace.

It’s hot (34 degrees C) here in Melbourne, Australia, but we felt the joy of the occasion too!
I did not realize how weighted down I have felt the last eight years. In the past three days I feel more joy, am feeling creativity I didn’t know I had and have found myself smiling for no apparent reason, but I think there is a reason — hope for this country and hope that we can again become the trusted leader of a peaceful world.
