Painting- done I think

I think after eleven hours of painting yesterday it is done. There is always the possibility I will tweak thinks here and there. I had to force myself to stop last night at midnight, I was touching up lights and darks on the leaves on the tree on the right to give them a little more contrast. I probably could have spent another hour touching them up here and there.

  1. congratulations judy, and thanks for sharing the process with us. i love the flowers, and the grass texture really brings it all together.

what a great eye and steady hand you have. an incredible & beautiful piece!

  2. Beautiful Judy! The lights and darks have given it so much depth. The stag looks so regal. All of your line detail has given the work a lot of visual interest as well. You work fast!!

  3. It is amazing how that grass just pulls all the ground work together. As for finishing touches, I think it is so easy to ‘dink’ forever…but the stopping line must eventually be drawn!
