International Quilt Festival is coming…

judy-paintingand there’s just 2 days left for online registration (October 7), but that doesn’t mean you still can’t sign up for classes when you get there.

I’m teaching 3 classes this year, one of them twice, and it’s very likely I won’t be teaching at festival next year since I’m scheduled to teach in New Zealand, in October 2017. (Yippee!! I’m so excited!) So if you’re going to festival and want to take a class with me, don’t wait!

The first class (class #229, 426) I’m teaching two times at festival is Tsukineko Inks_Perez

Tsukineko Inks

This class (#229, #426) has been hugely popular for years. I’m teaching it on Tuesday November 1st and Thursday the 3rd. Click here to see some of the previous work students have done in this class.

On Wednesday I’m teaching

Tea and Ephemera

This class (#336) is a fun intro to mixed-media techniques for textiles, and is another popular one with just a couple spots left.

I’m really excited about my class (#525) on Friday

Blessings in the Wind: mixed-media prayer flags

namasteIt feels really good to make prayer flags with the intention of sending more peace, love and happiness out into the world and they look really beautiful fluttering in the wind.

In this class we’ll create beautiful colored fabrics with acrylic inks, then use stamps and thermofax screens to add symbols and imagery, and apply words and positive intentions, then hang them on muslin ribbon.

If you want to sign up for any of these classes at International Quilt Festival in Houston you can do it here and if you’re already signed up for one of my classes, I’ll see you soon!

Keep creating, Judy
