I’m off to Australia for two weeks to teach 2 painting classes with Cecile Whatman of Unique Stitching and teach 3 workshops and demo techniques at The Creative Textile Show 2-4 May in Canberra.
With Cecile, I’ll be teaching one of my favorite two day classes 10 Techniques with Acrylic Inks, 26-27 April. These are a few finished pieces I made from fabric that was painted while demonstrating techniques using acrylic inks on my trip to Australia last September.
I’ll also be teaching a one day class Painting Imagery with Textile Paints 29 April.
This is a really special opportunity, these are small classes where the students will get a lot of one on one instruction time with all the paints and inks provided. There are still a few spots open in these classes, contact Unique Stitching if you would like to join us. All skill levels welcome.
I’m so excited about The Creative Textile Show too, not only is it another fun convention by Expertise Events where I’ll get to see some of my Aussie textile loving friends, but I just saw there will be vendors selling New Zealand Possum wool! 🙂 I love to knit and am particularly fond of that yarn after buying some when I was in Aukland.
At the Creative Textile show I will be teaching 3 classes.
and Tsukinkeko Inks with Brushes and Aloe Vera Gel
I will also be doing demos of various techniques on the show floor with Unique Stitching throughout the Creative Textile Show.
After I get back from Australia, I’ll be home a few days to repack my bags and then head off to the San Joaquin Valley Quilters’ Guild to give a lecture May 8th and teach a painting workshop May 10th. In the mean time, keep creating!
